Can amputation be prevented?
International Diabetic Federation Survey (IDF) 2005 statistics states that, in each 30 seconds one human being is amputated. Even after amputation the wound ulcers may appear in another limb leading to secondary amputation. Though trillions of dollars have been spent for medical research for diabetic health care, but incidence of diabetic and complication have increased.
The fact is there are ways to prevent a diabetic patient from reaching an amputation stage. Reach World Wide’s goal with this initiative is to promote quality life for a diabetic and prevent amputation.
